Clarion & iPod 5G

Hello Forum,

I'm seeking information about connecting a iPod 5G to a Clarion DXZ758RMC. I have seen that Clarion made the EA1251B that is a CeNET integration with the deck but it has some limitations like that fact that it can only support 5 or 6 play list and they have to be actually named per Clarion's specs. That doesn't really seem convinient. What if I forget to update those "specific" playlist with the music I want.

Anyway i'm trying to find out if you guys have heard of any other solutions for Clarion decks that wouldn't have these limitations but where I could still control the iPod (change tracks and see song data on the deck screen).

Any help is apreciated.

That is all they make for those decks. I would just use the aux input and control it with my ipod itself. That clarion adapter sucks imo.

Thanks for the reply and yeah I got that setup now, just would like to have the control in the deck but no big deal. What is the BEST deck for use with the iPod (not brand specific) anything will do. Just want to see where I should go in future with my deck purchase.

I played around with the new alpine and they work the best imo (9857). My pioneer 880prs does well too but not as fast as the alpine is. Many people don't like them because of lack of features but if you just want a good stereo with great ipod control then thats for you.
