Ok so my friend use to work at circuit city and now works with me for a different company. All of his old coworkers bashed all the systems I was doing. Saying that all internet brands ****. Well in the last competition I hit 146 with my BTL and hifonics herc.

So I redid my friends system. In the end it will be 2 hifonics xx-zeus and 2 fully loaded Fi BLs. Right now tho he just has the one amp and 1 sub. After getting installed he clearly says it is the best sounding and loudest system in his car. Takes it to CCity to show his friends.

They tell him the amp is probably putting out 700watts max. And Fi sucks.

Only one kid in the whole shop thought it was a good system.

Makes me angry how dumb some people can be.

bleh. go in there and tell them to get their best system (overall) and go numbers to numbers with them. teach these kids a lesson

From what I hear the best they can order is the kicker 2500 and they can actually get a solo X. But it would cost obscene and they probably will stuff it in a crappy box. So ya never know the 2 Bls may beat it anyway. But they have nothing in store that will compete.

Trust me I know that they have to back the stuff they sell but when it comes to a basis of friends not coworkers they dont need to back it like that. You wanna tell an every day cust the stuff is good, fine. But when it comes to your own stuff or your friends you should be a little more open minded.

This shit happens all the time. I just act dumb when i go into places like that and dont say anything about the system in my car. Last time someone asked me what subs i was running i made the mistake of actually answering the person. Like Jim said above I think the sales person was just trying to put down my system in front of the other customers to make a sale and i just agreed with the guy. I never argue with them or tell them iam into car audio because it usually goes nowhere. I just shake my head and say wow thats cool man. Yeah those Rockford P2s would beat my DD9512 any day man.

Get something ridiculously loud ( ie 160db ) and go to a show with it. I used to hear that same ish when I would go out. A couple trips to town with my old truck put all that crap to rest.

They honestly believe that their L5s and L7s are the best thing out there. And I know Kicker isn't a bad company Ive used their amps and subs before. I just thought that hearing it they wouldn't bash it like that. I guess I was wrong.
