Circuit City......bankrupt

I worked as an installer there for over 2 years. Business in our district was good when I started, and progressively took a nosedive over the two-year period.

I cannot speak for Circuit City's all over the country, but as far as my district, there was such a high rate of manager turnover, it was impossible for a store to run smoothly and effectively.

If it's true, I saw this coming when I left.

Circuit city is the one that laid off a ton of good paid employees to hire a bunch of cheap new labor. I'm glad they went down if this is true, shows that ******* tactics hurt the employee AND the company.

Not true. That blockbuster offer was made quite a while ago...news of it leaked just a few weeks ago. Circuit city has quite a few millions in the bank yet...we're not going anywhere yet :p

They may or may not have mentioned this when you were working there, but I actually was an employee many years ago.

Back then the company was great. Seriously. At the store I warked at I would guess that the average salesperson was in his/her 30's and making some pretty decent money for retail. They actually taught you about the products and how to sell.

hmmm, massive layoff's due to outsourcing for cheap labor and having it effect the workforce, the company and the economy - now where have I seen this before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
