Circle Jig users....... got a question?

no one ever said you had to cut the circle in one pass...I usually make 3 passes. Taking about 1/4 inch per pass.

si, they say the exact opposite. Multiple passes with no more than a 1/4" per pass depending upon the material being cut. MDF is hard on bits, so it's a really good idea to heed this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

sure whatever works for all of you

i am a trim carpenter for living and i have some pretty nice routers and bits plus i'm impatient so i do one pass lol

but multiple with a 1/4 bit is ideal

I just hate sanding away burn marks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Why don't you just make your own jig? There's not much to it and would save a few bucks.
if your ever used a jasper jig, and see how easy it is you would own one also. I have it mounted to a extra plug base so just drop in motor with bit and cut away.

I dropped my router and broke the jig //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

So, I just used it to trace another one on 1/4" MDF and made my own //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have and mine works just as well, and it didn't cost me 30 bucks either. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
