SQ is the real deal
I am about 24 hours away from making my decicion on buying a new car and this so far seems to be the best bet for updating the sound system. I have some concerns with the battery being located in the truck though. I don't imagine the cable from the altenator is of the best quality. I will replace the stock battery with two yellow tops. Any other issues anyone can think of with a install in this car? I am looking into a sound quality vehicle.

I imagine they would run a wire that can carry enough amps to the battery in the trunk. It might not be overkill but if it's too small they'd have some serious lawsuits on thier hands when 300M's started burning to the ground. But if you had a good place to do it I'd run some 0/1 from the alt to the batt. Just remember to fuse it...

Well I bought the car, but it will stay at the dealer until i can get all the audio out of my current ride that I traded in on it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif Out of curiousity, I was looking the car over and it looks like there is room for some kicks but I think I would want to go with some 4" with tweets. I have been out of the "car audio" game for a while and just with quick looking didn't see anyone making them. Can anyone recommend a set of kick *** quality component 4's. The doors look huge and I think I could slide in some 6" subs or possibly 8's with some mods. Can anyone recommend some of these? I bought the car to build a SQ car. I plan on running my 2 JL 12w6's sealed in the trunk. I have a MPH860mp deck, the JL's, MB Quart RAA2400, 2 RAA4200's, and a RAA1000 and still have the Phoenix Gold 1200.1. I thought it would be a sweet install to keep all the MB Quart amps. Do you think running 100% active is the sure way to go. Sure I will need a quality crossover considering i plan on using small subs up front for midbass and 12's in the rear. Anyhow let me know your thoughts, and recommendations. I finally have a car that in my opinion should yeild some sweet staging if i do it right.

Oh as for the wire from the front to the rear battery, they used 4 guage from the factory so i think I should be fine.

Other issues would be the factory amp.

If its anything like the concorde/LHS then its on the left side of the trunk behind the trunk liner.

I think the fronts are 5 1/4's IIRC
