checking ohms on dual voice coil.

ok so when checking a dvc sub is it suppose to be you can put either positive to either negative to recieve your ohm load cause on one voice coil i will put the multimeter up to it and it will show my ohm oad on the red and black but if i move lets sayt the black to the other black voice coil it will display nothing but if i move the other red over then it wil display again. Is this suppose to be this way or is it suppose to read out to any red and black?

Yes thats normal. There shouldn't be any continuity from one voice coil to the other (with the speaker wires disconnected).
