checked the SPL of my system

Yester day i got me a spl meter and wanted to try it so i did and it turns out with my driver side window cracked it gave me a reading of 138.5 DB thats pretty dang loud. lol

Edit: If by "cracked" your window you mean rolled it down a little so the smell of burned coil wasn't so strong... ok. If you mean that 138.5 actually damaged the integrity of your window you're either lying or using a garbage bag duct taped up there.

its one i got from radio shack and yes my car doesnt have much air pressure in the trunk so when the window is cracked it moves more air. i have 4 12's and a class d amp

sorry but that is HORRIBLE... not only that but on a TermLab you are probably like 5dB less.

I'm calling Power Acoustiks amp and Jensen/pioneer subs

your box is off or the subs and amp are not very good dude. but it is a start

trunk cars are harder to get loud in

take the meter back and get a refund tho they are horrible and very inaccurate
