i think they should pay people to shoot deer around here.. too many of them.

my grandpa still farms in nebraska and counted around 120 in 1 herd trying to get food from his grainery. he's been farming for 60 years there and has never seen that before.

nice work that is a nice rack but i like bowhunting a lil more. What gun were u using

Bowhunting is awsome...I love it.. Only way I can actually get excited about harvesting a doe..took 2 does with my bow this year.. Bow season is about to open back up on one of the places I hunt.. Hopefully I can get a buck with a bow.\

Heres the gun I am using.. Tikka T3 Lite in .300WSM shooting 165 grain handloaded Nosler Partition Spitzer bullets at 3100fps..

people are ignorant sometimes. i grew up in nebraska and without hunters the deer would take over. there are no predators left to kill and eat these deer except humans, at least in the plains states. same thing with rabbits. no predators. i commend you and other people that hunt legitimate game animals for keeping at least a little balance in the ecosystem.

What about human overpopulation? Should we snipe them from the bushes also? And the lack of predators is most likely due to...of course, humans.

yeah, i see herds of 20-25 running across the highway like once a week. My dad hit 5 deer in a year.

They should reintroduce wolves.

yeah, i see herds of 20-25 running across the highway like once a week. My dad hit 5 deer in a year.
They should reintroduce wolves.

Holy crap... The most deer I have seen in a day hunting was like 30.. And that is due to a river flooding a huge pine thicket.. Deer had nowhere to go but to higher ground.. I was hunting at the edge of the water...

Rare to see a group of more than 5-6 deer here in MS... That is deer travelign togethor.. I have seen upwards of 15 in a nice food plot at one time though..

we should. you sound like you're volunteering. don't suggest stupid shit unless you're the one ready to pay the ultimate price. excellent option for human over population. make a list of family members your willing to give up.

But i still see deer all the time in smaller groups of like 5-8.

You really see them after corn harvest..

I don't hunt, not because i think its wrong, but because I am a city kid who doesn't think its fun to get up early, go out in the cold, and wait.

I thought about going pheasant hunting, but decided it would be better to just buy a friggen chicken for $3 and stay home sleeping in a warm bed.

deer are running rampant in nebraska. they'll eat up everything. during the snow they are in very large groups. pheasant kicks the crap out of chicken btw. chicken never tasted right after eating a well cooked pheasant.
