Check out my OZ beauties...

I'm quite sure I know what the meaning of 'similar' is, and that basket is not quite so. And REQ you did not say 'might'....you said

Not intentionally busting your balls, but some people on this forum look at your post count and will take that misinformation as fact

It just seems , as the two drivers performance has been compared in the past, that now people assume or are speculating that the subs are mechanically linked somehow or that they are equivalent in some regards.

And ID subs are manufactured by ID. They are OEM'ers and a build house. The question should be who builds OZ driverrs.
as i said - PROLLY cuz bla bla bla.

that means, they might use the same basket. i never stated it as fact //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif - but i see where you are comming from.

and i simply said "who is the manufacturer for ID and OZ?"

( did i say oz? i meant to say oz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif )

the only fact i stated was that they seem to use (again - SEEM) the same back plat, tripple stacked mags, and a SIMILAR surround (just noticed that).

i am not saying they are linked in any way- shape- or form //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

any info would be greatly appriciated and will be added to my usless info about life. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

actually you clearly stated, (directly quoted from your post), "because they use the same motor and basket" which is absolutely not true in the least bit. you shouldn't be talking out of your azz if your a mod. here is another example of you spreading misinformation....

http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=97766

please if you don't know what you're talking about then keep your mouth shut, as people will believe you because of your post count. don't mean to bash but you should really know better for being a mod and all.

prolly because they use the same motor and basket ;P
i did? i said "BECAUSE THEY USE THEM?"

how about you read the thread nextime. because it seems to me that you are taking my words out of context and omiting the 'probally' part.

as it stands. i never stated it as fact. and then i went as far as asking who made them. ID - as it was said, is an OEM and they manufacture their own stuff (like adire). so who is the buildhouse for OZ?

enough of this pointing fingers shit. im done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

and by the way, that other thread - i meant bansaw to cut the outer portion of the baffle out - then a jigsaw to cut the inside. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

If thats how you feel then i suggest you go back to school and major in English. You can't spell, write a complete sentence, and just barely string together a coherent statement without saying one thing when you supposedly mean something totally different.

About the other thread, maybe you should read the rest of the thread other than your post. The question was how to cut a circular hole in your door panel to mount a tweeter, not how to make a mdf baffle, which you still wouldn't want to use a bandsaw for. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

im not on this board to teach people english. i feel that most of the time i write ledgible - and i could give a shit if my grammer or spelling is 100%. im too lazy to use the spell check anyway.

i come here to help people who ask me, and if you ask the people ive talked to if ive helped them, i guarantee 99% of them will say yes.

if you have a problem. dont read my posts.

the other thred - i didnt even remember posting in - but whatever.

and i said "prolly use the same motor\basket" - how does that even resemble a 'non-coherent statement' or 'saying one thing when you supposedly mean something totally different'? i said prolly, and that was that. then you went to quote me and you edited the quote. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

stop being such a tightwad and let it go. i will not respond in this thread again.

sorry for jacking this man.

your subs are real nice, id really like to hear a pair. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I'm not sure about the basket, but I'm pretty sure they use the same motor. Warbleed told me this and it would explain the fact that they have almost identical xmax figures. I'm not saying everything Warbleed says is complete fact, but many people have said it about the Oz's.

BTW... congrats on you're new subs... I'm always really happy to see new people try them as they are really excellent excellent subs for the money.

Shutup ***...I would back up Req before I ever backed him up being as he has helped me before...

Your a dumbass and get over it grow up and learn how to act mature. Your picking one of the most useless thread fights...idiot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Quite a few anal rententives in this thread. ID does build those drivers. That's painfully obvious, actually...
TC Sounds used to build their subs, and now ID does.
thank you warbleed. i was thinking the same thing - and i decided i didnt know if it was fact or not.

thanks for clearing it up (google was no help)

Yeah, Stephen Ponte, TC Sounds former engineer told me himself that the engineer of ID built the OZ subs. I'm not sure if TC Sounds used to build the OZ's but they sure sell them. Hell, I almost bought the OZ Matrix's from TC Sounds back in Sept but I got lured into buying a TC9.

These subs set me back $250 for them both, brand new at that. These are by far the best subs that I've heard and I've owned quite the list of subs.

And I don't mind the threadjack, it's comedy.

This is ridiculous. You both are misquoting the original statement to skew its original meaning (yes even you req). You did not say "prolly use the same motor\basket"... you said "prolly because they use the same motor and basket ;P" (copy/pasted in its entirety here... for once). Now Im no English major, just a simple engineer, but even to me its clear those two statements have a different... skew to them. You DID state it as fact Req, and you trying to change your wording slightly now to mask that only makes it look worse. We saw what you said, we all saw it, its still there for us to read for pete's sake. You didn't say they were 'prolly' the same, you stated that they were. The 'prolly' was referring to "probably because they are the same", not "probably are the same")... anyone with common sense can read your words and figure that out. The more you try to squirm out of it, the worse you look. You would be better off just admitting you didn't know (even though you were right after all) rather than trying to mislead us with your original meaning.

Not trying to bash you req, we all make mistakes sometimes. But I do have to agree its pretty poor form for a moderator to be acting this way. Trying to tell us you typed something other than you did does not help anything, it only makes you look like a ... poor loser. No biggy to me, just pointing out the perspective of someone who just came in and read this thread out of the blue.

oh well. shizt happens :p

sorry then...

on a lighter note - i was right that they used the same motor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Nice setup there. Definatly a great price. I want a review when you are done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
