they sound great.

however i just got my 2 rear 6.5 cdts installed and now they all have popping noises. it was working with the fronts installed before. i did hook it up in the dark and im gonna second check it tomrrow =p any thoughts?

all thanks go out to Tplaya07. he hooked me up with these speakers, and i recommend him for real fast shipping time. the whole transaction took maybe a week and a half durring the last hurricane none the less. real good guy.

the reason is because i have not mounted them yet. they are both for the right side.

if you read the post it says that they are both for the right side. i have to figure out a good way to get them to stay put. i didnt want them sitting in the floor on the corner, so they are up higher and out of the way.

they dont look weird in real life. ill get some better pictures taken. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

weirdos

heres a question, if you made them like that, and then decided that you wanted them flush mounted could you take a router to the glass/mdf ring? would the router mess up the glass?

i suppose i could. but i dont have a router =P

the problem is, i asked for dimensions on the CDTs and somone gave me the wrong sizes.

sheesh.

so underneath the speaker, there is a flush ring-type thing... oh well.

i wasn't specifically asking about you. i'm in the process of building kicks for my car, and i kept messing up the 2 diff size rings, so i said screw it. mine are for a set of CDT CL-6X, but now that i see how your CDT's set i think i might want mine flush, it just looks cleaner.

and p.s. if your gonna mount them up almost under the dash like in the top pic you should of made your relief cut on the carpet on the top back side so you can't see it.

lol. theres no way that a person will be able to see the top of the speaker. its UNDER there. i slept over at my girlfriends house (and just had some fun if you know what i mean, and all her relatives are here too boot ^_^)

so anyway. ill take a better picture. i would have taken more before, but magically her 512 flash stick was full. feh.

1 question --------> why kick panels ?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i mean whats the advantages, in sound clarity or whatever--------> i got no ideas, need your help ppl !! thnx

kickpanels, because the further down and away from your ear, the closer they come to being the same distance from your ear. it'll sound better with the speaks being the same distance from your ears. i'm pretty sure this is right someone correct me if im wrong.

thats what i was trying to say. . . maybe its just the pic, but that cut in the carpet just stands out. if it was on the top you wouldn't be able to see it at all because it would be tucked up under the dash.

OOOH. in the carpet ON the kick. i thought you meant cut the carpet UNDER the kick- the stock carpet. rofl

no, in real life you cant see it, its some weird thing to do with the flash.

no idea =)

but yea, i meant to put it on the top- but the carpet always ends up twisting without my permission and the seam keeps moving ya know?

sigh. i need more practice.
