Cheap SPL subs?

Some kid was just telling me, and swore by it that someone is putting out SPL subs that are like $75-200 a piece. Kid is going to hit me up with the info when he buys one or finds out more information. He says some guy was running them in his van(locally around here by us) and was blowing out windshields.

To me this sounds like the typical "High end cheap price scam"(you know, some dude just talks some shit..AWWW MAHN I GOT THESE 12"s that are 5000w a piece $50 a piece DUDE!!!) but then again i could be wrong.

Lol I wasnt buying shit i was just dumbfounded to hear "trophy winning subs" with "cheap pricing" in the same sentence. Plus he said the dude had a van walled off, nobody usually walls of their vehicle unless they are running high end shit...so i was confused. Usually when people talk car audio around here and talk some shit you can ask them some leading questions and immediately know if they are Bs'n or if they know their shit.
