Cheap good distrubution block

Anyone know of cheap distribution blocks that can be bought in a store? I see plenty online, but I have never seen any in stores. I guess best bet might be BB or Tweeter, but are there any others?

Basically, I only need the Y-type to split my power cable to two amps...I can find a ground for the one I am adding no problem.

Ohh, and one more thing: Whats the highest Peak power and RMS power a 4 gauge power wire can handle?

I've had mixed reviews from that question in the past. I'll be pushing probably 1200-1400 peak, and 600 RMS at best when all is set up and running. (600 RMS is unlikely though, I'm highballing to be safe)

I'd really like to avoid rerunnign the power cable.

depends on how long the run of wire is as well...

most manufacturers list that if i remember right...

best buy will probably be pretty expensive...

I didn't measure the wire, but I think it is at best 12 feet. My negative wire for the Audiobahn is about 2 - 3 feet, and the Sony will probably run about 1 - 2 feet.

you'll most likely be fine running 600 rms watt amp off 4ga cable..

as for a distro block, prolly hard to find one in a big retailer unless its in a kit or really over priced.. try a car audio shop (will be way expensive there too)

If I order offline, is there any specifics I will need? Do I need to buy one with the correct amp fuses already in it? I believe my 4 gauge has an inline 60 Amp fuse.

Check at Walmart for a distro block, should be pretty cheap.

Ok, found a dirt cheap Hitron block that can take 1-4 in, and 4 - 8 out. My concern is whether or not I should add fuses after the distribution. Would the fuse upfront by the battery be adequate?

there's also fused distroblocks. if ur running a 2nd amp with 4 gauge I suggest upping it to at least 2 gauge on the main power, but since ur only running 600 rms it should be okay.
