Cheap and Small 5ch amp

In a five channel, there is "cheap" and there is "small" but not both in the same amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

What kind of budget do you have? Are you looking to bridge the 4 channel section to a single set of components or are you running two sets?

I usually recommend picking out your speakers first, then matching an amp to them. It leaves your options much more open.

about $200-300 for the amp. I think im just going to bridge it for the fronts, and maybe put rears on the headunit, or just get rid of them all together.

Many people just run front speakers and have no problem getting the sound levels they're after. I'd focus on the frontstage to start out. You may find that just leaving the rears stock on the head unit is enough or even that you don't need rear speakers at all.

The 6000's are rated for 65 watts. Depending on the sub you want, a four channel amp might work just as well. You could also look into some of the three channel amps out there. I checked out a DLS 3 channel amp that might be worth considering. It fits your budget and has a sub channel stable to 2 ohms.

For a simple fronts and sub system, it would work great. Probably not the best if you are going for a high SPL substage but for a nice balanced music system it's worth a look.

thats a nice amp! i never heard of that brand, how is it? its pretty small too.

i didnt know they made 3ch amps, so i didnt bother to ask about it lol

There is a guy on here selling a very nice Crossfire CFA-555 amp. I almost bought it but went with 2 smaller amps. He has good ratings. Just PM him. I think he wants like $240. His screen name is

Louisiana_CRX.

will i be able to run the speakers in 4 ohm and the sub in 2 ohm on that amp? or only all 4 ohm and all 2 ohm?
They do not all have to be 4 ohm or 2 ohm. 2 ohms is just the lowest that each channel is stable to. A good simple system using this type of amp would be a set of 4 ohm components on the front channels with a sub run at 2 ohms on the mono channel.
