Cheap amp to put out around 500 watts at 2ohm?

I am putting a couple re 12's in my wife's car. I am looking for a decent amp that can put out around 500 watts at 2ohm. I was thinking a cheap kicker, but if there is something i can get cheaper and is just as good I amp hoping for some ideas. I am wanting to spend as little as possible. Thanks

I liked the alpine I had... they have a new model number i think its called the mrp500. Actually strange enough it was cheap and sounded nice!

I agree, I have one of these. Actually last years model the MRP-M450, pushing a single L5 @ 2ohms and it does a great job, very clear, accurate and consistent performance and a small footprint also.

Would the Alpine MRP-M450 and MRP-M500 get louder and sound better than the Profile AP1000M?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The kicker amps i was looking at are roughly the same price as the alpine. I guess its just a choice between alpine and kicker. Are the alpine amps rated about right or are the a little underated like the kickers?
