Confined to Reality......
Ok so I think I am going to trade my 2 Kicker CVX's for a go-kart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and this gives me the opportunity to get new sub set up. I probably should deaden my doors and get comps first but the speakers I have in there now do ok. So I am thinking of going for mainly SQ because SQ is all the time and SPL is only when I can crank it.

I was at wolly world getting speaker wire and was checking out the HU they had there (just window shopping) and seen they had a pioneer sub there and it sounded pretty good. So I was thinking that I would like to go with a pioneer, but do they make a 15"?

I have a kicker sx1250.1 that has 1359 on the birth sheet so my question for you my fellow members is what is a good SQ 15" sub that would go good with that amp?

Also how good is the sx1250.1 for SQ?

and yes I am still a noob (not super a noob) but have been reading a shit load and learning a lot.

And as always thanks for all and any help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Please don't take this as the complete bash that it might end up appearing to be but I would suggest if the complete bottom-end Pioneer drivers that Wally World carries sounded good to you then I don't think it will take too awful much to please your ear and qualify, at least to you, as an "SQ" setup.

If you've got 1.3 kilowatts+ to work with then the list of possibilities is wide and varied.

Does that amp make that power @ 1 Ohm or what?

If so what it the output at higher resistences? I ask because just because you can have that much output doesn't mean you have to use it if that configuration doesn't suit your purposes.

Example - my sub amp can make 1,500w + when shown a 1 Ohm load but currently I'm running it at 2 Ohms.

I appriciate the honesty and bluntness. I am not going for a competition like SQ setup, just more SQ oriented setup. Also I think your right about the not taking too much to please my ear because I have not been around car audio long enough to listen to a huge variety of subs. Also I feel that I should clarify that I am a newb in the since that I haven't had much experience doing setups but I know most of the technical stuff.

The amp does 1.3k at 1ohm and its rated at 650 at 2 ohm and anything above that I can't find specs for.
