Changing HU colors?

Is there any possible way to change the color of the LEDs on headunits? If so how is it done, is it very hard/complicated? And lastly, what kind of tools/materials would this require?

Most headunits made in the last 8 years or so let you choose at least between green and red (or orange) so it matches the dash lighting.

How to do it (or if it can be done) would be listed in the owners manual.

It wouldn't be in the owner's manual, they would NOT encourage you opening the face-plate and modifying the LED's.

It can be done however, you have to be very meticulous. MetalMaxima on here did it with his Alpine 9833. Also, what HU do you have?
