Not even close. Two 18's would have approx 25% more cone area. One 22 would be approx somewhere between a pair of 15's and a pair of 18's. Strictly speaking in terms of cone area. For output purposes, it would generally be better to have more motors to disperse the heat through.

Did I miss something? two 15s = 353.25 so the 22'' is a hair more cone than that. I never said anything about two 18s, but if you were refering to somebody else, I appologize
