What do ya think of replacing my front stage with these:

Cerwin-Vega VMX5.0 (vmx50) - 5-1/4" Component Systems - Sonic Electronix for the kick panels

and

Cerwin-Vega VMAX-6.5 6-1/2" 2-Way Car Speakers for the doors and A Pillars

Anything else I should consider in this price range? Stuff in my sig below is on its last leg.

Also, looking for a 4ch amp to push these or comparable components, any suggestions for a amp?

And don't get that amp. Waste of money. It MIGHT put out 400 watts RMS for you're lucky. I would HIGHLY suggest getting an MB Quart 4125.

You would save about 125+ getting those Opti components and get a much better product. Then you invent in a BEEFY 4 channel to power them. I'm talking 150 watts RMS per component.

Yea, I didn't do a search before I asked (edited). Found a lot of bad stuff on it.

Anyway, like the looks of the Opti but didn't see a matching 5.25 set. Want to keep everything the same up front.

Will look into the Quart amps.

Why not just runs 2 sets of 6.5s? I'm sure with a tad bit of modding you can get them to fit in the 5 1/4 spots.

One thing about those Opti components is they are very power hungry. They have 3 inch voice coils and get very loud. The tweeters sound nice too.

May have to give the Opti a try. Seem to be what im looking for. However, buddy was running some Max subs and I wasnt all that impressed. Did ok for what he paid I guess.

What about the 5.1 and 6.1 if I wanted to cut back on the power? Maybe put them on this Hifonics Zeus ZXi80.4 (ZXi 80.4) 4-Channel Car Amplifier/Amp

Lanzar MAX is completely different from Opti DRIVE.

Think I will go with the 5.1 and 6.1 on the ZXI80.4 (have had good luck with Hifonics)

How do you think it will do with 2K on the subs?
