Censorship in the Dome??

I have noticed that some of the threads I'm in either get deleted, locked or edited.

Why are we getting this treatment in an Off Topic type forum?

To the mods: Knock off the BS and keep this forum open. Move all the tech threads that go to crap over to this forum so people can battle it out here. We all might learn something.

I dont see a second page on the first link. It wont allow me to view it. Its a glitch in the software. If you post a reply you can view the second page. Your post is still there. If we were censoring anything it wouldnt be there.

The second one was locked because those topics only lead to issues. Once again if it were truly censored you wouldnt have access to even link the thread here.

Strange glitch... I edited my post and added some to it. I guess when you spill over to the 2nd page, it won't show until someone makes a new post on the 2nd page.

Nobodies head has been buried. Not exactly sure what your referring to, but Id like some concrete examples of our censorship since the new mods have been appointed.

I'm not on here that much, maybe an hour a day during the week and a little more on the weekends. Every few days a thread gets locked or a few posts get deleted. Whatever degree you want to call it, its still censorship in the essence of the word.

deleting violations of the rules is not censorship. If its that big of a deal to you find another forum that will allow you to post anything you wish w/ no regard to content. http://www.offtopic.com comes to mind.

The dome was out of control before they implemented the new rules and such. However since this is members only I think most cuss words should be permitted. That really my only complaint, but either way the new mods are doing a much better job than the previous ones so it's not a big deal

Swear words arent the issue. Its racism thats the largest issue.

With the way the forum software works you cant limit word filters to specific areas. So they are either on for the whole forum or they are not. Because most of our ad revenue comes from Google it has to be on for the non members only areas. Google is constantly indexing web links so those areas need to be "protected". Back here it doesnt matter so much in the sense that the Thunderdome pages wont be used for indexing on google. However a google employee could always join up and come back here to see if we are following the rules.

99.9% of the time when I bypass the filter is back here in the TDome.
