I'm really only 8 years old![]()
One thing that pisses me off in general about activists/charity work is how people only care when it happens to them. Tens of thousands of people die each year from cancer, yet people only become "activists" when either they have cancer or someone very, very close to them has cancer. For some reason, it's only then that they "suddenly" realize a disease is real and exists in something other than media formats.
I loved watching that reality show "Surviving Nugent" that was on VH1 for a short time. Man does that guy hate hippies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI think hes great, and he really stirs up the tree huggers. I always find that amuzing.
Very true and the same can be said for many other tragidies. Like the Girl that has gone missing in Aruba. That happens everyday in any given city. But why is it that she is the one who makes the news? Still even today when its day ~53 she is still on the news, well London is on it today. They need to let it go shes feeding the fishes by now.One thing that pisses me off in general about activists/charity work is how people only care when it happens to them. And of course they had to throw the ultra liberal animal loving tree hugging girl on there.
