CDT's question

Just be warned that the 6.5" woofer in that set requires a larger than normal cutout! If you plan on installing it in a space limited stock location, it will NOT fit without extensive modification.

Other than that, pick your run of the mill 16 gauge, Oxygen-Free copper (OFC), speaker wire and call it a day!

actually depending on the car you'll prob only need a spacer for that mid. I know that some of their woofer say 6.5 but are actually more like 6.75, but that woofer i believe is still 6.5

Looks like the same components as my convertible 5.25's. They are great and don't require too much power. Tweeter isn't harsh and low end is good with a bit of power. I can verify that the 6.5" is more like 6.75" as my coaxials were pretty wide and use the same basket.

Actually, I was screwed because I wanted to retain the stock grill:

The CDTs were too deep to boot, so I was double screwed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I have heard a lot of the "audiophile" people tell me that the TW-25 tweeter is harsh.... But harsh compared to what? I tell you, compared to the Infinity Kappa speakers currently in my Mustang, the TW-25s sound GREAT!

At least it wasn't the most expensive mistake I made since getting back into car audio... *cough* Linear Power *cough*//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

ETA: I finally figured out why CDT got rave reviews on this forum.... They look like something that would be installed in Ronald McDonald's car:laugh:

I'm not even sure what that means. I'm pretty happy with my CDT's, they aren't the best speakers ever created, but for $100 for the comps and $49 for the coax's I really can't ask for more. Build quality is great on mine and they sound good. They also get loud enough off headunit power for listening at 70mph with my top off. When I had them amped, they were very clear and had plenty of mid bass.

Might be the 3/4" - better off-axis response and/or sensitivity could lead to a brighter sounding tweeter. I'm not sure why they recommend moving...

What also helps is the suspensions on them aren’t as tight as a virgin on prom night! Sorry I couldn’t resist using this joke 🤣
