Cdt!!!

I ran my CDT HD-62's, rated for 180 rms with around 300 daily with no problems.

Headroom is generally okay, and I would actually reccomend it if it was done right.

It give you more room to get the most output from the speakers while driving them with an unclipped signal. It also puts less stress out the amplifier.

If you hear your speakers stressing, or smell burning coil it's time to back down off the gains.

What is this 200x2 amp you're using?

Oh yeah, you don't need to make numerous threads about this.

I am installing my whole system tommorw and I have a 200 x 2 @ 4 ohm amp for my CDT EF61-CF. Do you think it will be ok? I just want an opinion from people who accually have had hands on exp. Thanks! They are rated 130 rms just so yall know.
Along with helo's accurate suggestion on judicious use of the volume knob also keep in mind that pretty much never while playing music would you ever actually get that rated 200w per channel out of that amp. If you're rolling around listening to 50Hz test tones, perhaps, but music? Nah. You'll be fine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If your set doesnt have the 560i xover or better you may experience your tweeters cutting out at high volumes. If your set does have the 560's or better youll be fine providing you do not push them beyond there mechanical limits //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
