I bought a 370Z. It has the worst factory stereo since early 90's econoboxes. 6.5" in the doors and 1" tweeters in the dash. no rear fill. I installed some Infinity kappy 63.9i's from my old car. They sound much better than stock but rather muddy until 2/3's volume. I never noticed this before but they were being powered by a Pioneer Premier from 03 or 04. I bought an Avionixx RB 440.4 amp (MAX Power @ 4ohm 2x440 Watts Bridged,RMS Power @ 4ohm, CL-61A-25 PRO - CDT Audio Classic 6.5" 2-Way Component Speakers.

I am not much of a bass head. Just looking for a nice clean sound for a DD. And would I be better off swapping the amps so I send 150watts to the CDT's (if I get them) and buy another 4 ohm IDQ and have a pair running 220 rms instead of 600 to1.

the car charges at 14.5-to nearly 15 volts. the Avionixx amp is rated at 12.5V.

NO!!!!!! I Am boycotting CDT!! I bought a pair of M6 mids from them , one of the spiders seperated from the cone within a month and the other spider seperated from the basket within 2 months and they wouldnt replace them. also they really didn't sound like a pair of 350 dollar mids. Worst purchase ever. you want high quality speakers go to madisound.com or parts express and check out morel or scan-speak
