cdt image tweeter

i have a set of polk momo comps the mids are in the doors and the tweet i am undecided where to put that as of now, the reason is because i have a set of cdt cl-62cf comps in my kicks so i am wondering if i should hook up the momo tweet to the image tweeter position on the cdt xover and mount the momo tweet in the a pillars or what i should do with it

any suggestions

I had a set of the CDT tweets connected to the imge tweet outputs of the 560 satnets. they were mounted in the dash where the stock ones were. I didn't like them and disconnected it.

They are essentially the same as the regular tweet, you just use an L-pad (like a speaker level volume control) to adjust the output. I drew out the connections and made a schematic for the crossover one day, I wanted to see which caps to put a bypass cap on.

when using the LP-1 pad it makes alot of difference. You could use the momo tweets on it, you may just want to bring down the attentuation to the image tweeters or have them bounce off the windshield. But I'd say get the Lp-1 remote to help blend the image tweets with the rest of the setup.

I had the LP-1 remote, just didn't know what it was called. I didn't particulary like the way it sounded. The only thing they really do is bring up the stage on the sides if you have a serious rainbow effect from having the main mid/tweets in pods in the kick panels. The alternative was to have someone tune it that is LOT better at it than I am.

well i will be having the cdt comps in the kicks and the momo mid in the door and the momo tweet prob either in the a pillars or right above the mid where i have it mounted now

the lp-1 is kind of like the volume knob for the image tweets, for a lack of better words. Its not intended to control the volume of your main tweeter but its to allow you to blend in the image tweet so it adds just enough of the highs to make it seem like the main set (which in your case is in the kicks) just makes it up to dash level without throwing everything off. you have to play around with it for a little bit to get it just right.
