CDT CL mids vs. DLS Iridium mids

I'm installing the drivers from a CDT CL-641 set (active) in my '04 Z06 Vette. I have a chance to buy some DLS Iridium mids pretty cheap... smart upgrade?

Of course it is. If they are in good shape, then you will be glad you left the cl mids and never looked back.

why dont you get 8" mids instead. dont they come stock on the vettes?

Nah, the stocks are 6.5" 8 would be a BIG prob.

Thanks all.... BTW these are pairing with ADS amps and an 880 hu. Should be a kick *** system, esp. with the very small interior volume of the Z06

that cl-641 is a 3-way set right? you say you are going active so you are using the 880 as a processor? if so do you run a sub?

Hah, you ran the ef's? I have some now. Thinking about pgrading fairly soon. So what else have you ran that out did them?

IMO the mid range is good but not so mch the midbass. But what the hell do I know. (other than Preston has shattered my Renee fantasies.
