Is it common that when the bass gets loud that your cd sikps, b.c I'm really having problems with this? I cant even turn my hu past 25 w.o my cd skipping. Is panasonic just that shitty, or is it just me? Any suggestions on ways to fix this, if there are any, would be apreciated.

Used to happen to me all the time. I switched HU's and the problem went away.

panasonics always tend to have that problem or atleast the 2 ive seen have.

What features are important to you?

Functionality, display, number of preouts, etc?

Without knowing any of those answers, Id recommend the pioneer 880prs.

Very solid deck, can be had for around $315 or so from ebay.

Idk much about what is suposto be on an hu but I gusse I need a good amout of preout v, some where around 4 or up, and I will need bass, trebel, and sub cotrol. Basically I'm looking for the best hu, thaty yall know will not skip at 2000w, for the best price.

As far as namebrands go I was thinking: Eclipse, Alpine, and Pioneer but I'm open to suggestions.

I was having the same problem with my Alpine you were having with your Panasonic...I havent had a skip since I put in my CD8053. you can get them on ebay for around $300

8V preouts as well.

Eclipse as it will school the others for tonal response. After that it is a bells and whistles issue.
