Hey guys first off i know there are a few threads about this now but im just curious as to what your thoughts are on the 9887 with the IMPRINT add on? my next set up is gonna be more sq orientated so i am willing to learn the settings on the HU and everything i just want a good HU that will allow me to set and fine tune everything

Just installed mine tonight, don't believe everyone who says the menus are so hard, they aren't bad at all. This head unit is the absolute best you can buy in the price range by far.

7 band GEQ or 5 band PEQ, media expander, sub system adjustment, in full active mode you can seperate left and right sides. You can adjust the level of MID/HIGH/LOW as well as the phase on the sub.

So you have plenty of adjustments available without the imprint. Don't you also have time correction without imprint as well? Thanks.

I have the following:

CDA-9887

H701 / C701 DSP

CDT M6 mids, CDT ES-01 tweets, CDT DRT-26 image tweets, US-200 upstage x-over (front stage)

CDT HD-6 mids, Memphis M-class sild domes tweets w/Mclass X-over (rear stage)

ED 11 KV2's in sealed enclosure

JL 300/2 fronts, JL 300/2 (rears), JL 500/1 Subs

I think the imprint is similar to the H701, I have the TCR, EQ, P.EQ on and on. The unit sounds awesome, had the IDA, 9857, 9855, 9835 and this one sounds like the 9855 without the shitty glide touch! I love the 24-bit DAC! and the 701 has 4V out so never really had to deal with the lame 2V outs!
