CD upside down?

I recently installed a new HU and the turns on and everything, but the error message comes up saying that the CD is upside down. Now...assuming I know how to correctly put in a CD, there must be something else going on. It is a Kenwood KDC-MP528. Need some help...

Stupid question....you are inserting the CD data side down, correct ?

Beyond that...sounds like something for either Kenwood Tech Support or your local dealer to attempt to take care of.
