cd-r

They're wrong, you can do it. I think a few companies just make music cd-rs that are slightly more compatiable with older cdplayers, you won't have a problem with data cds.

Wrong!

I bought some data cds on accident just a few weeks ago & they won't take my music. If you look at the disc, it looks like it is on it, I try to play em in the cd player or computer it says there is nothing on it.

There are Music CD-Rs and there are Data-CD-Rs (pretty sure) and there are Music/Data CD-Rs which I use (80min-700MB) and they work for both, make sure your not burning the music as a data cd (.mp3 ect.) only mp3 players will play mp3s not regular cd players. And sometimes if you have a shitty brand of cds those won't work for anything. But Music/Data CD-Rs will work for anything except DVD. Hope I helped a little. Peace
