CD player skips from bass, any tips?

Alrighty, I just put in my new amp yesterday, and now whenever I play a cd with moderate bass, I cant turn my cd player up past 32 or so with out it skipping like a m0th#rF(*&er.

Any ideas on how to fix that problem.

The little support thingy on the back is just solid metal, resting on metal, which im sure bounces around a lot. I might have to wrap that in tape or something to cushion it or something.

No, Im not going to turn the volume down.

My Pioneer used to do the same thing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif You are going to need to install a bracket or a backstrap to the back of the receiver for support.

I think Crutchfield or eBay would have them.

make sure it isnt the hu going bad. turn the bass all the way off at that volume and see if it skips. my HU works perfect at 2/3 volume with my SS rl-p blasting. i can turn off the sub, and turn the HU volume to about 3/4 and it skips like a mofo.

Well, I took some of that egg crate foam stuff and stuffed it in a few places, problem solved

Which will promptly suffocate the cd players heat sink, not the best of ideas. Go back to square one and backstrap that baby.

I have a back support on it. It was solid metal, resting on metal. I wrapped the stuff around that support and it helped, but still does it every once in awhile.

I made a radio mount thing awhile back and i only have it held on with 2 screws. Ill stick some more of that foam stuff between my dash and mounting thing and add a screw or 2 at the top and it will fix it.

worst case senario (if ur deck starts to heat up and ur CDs and pipeing hot when u eject them) mount a fan back there somewhere.....thats what i do, and i am the FAN MAN
