cd player messed up subwoofers

man u guys dont help at all i figured out the gain was all the way at the fullest now it plays perfectly...lol except the back speaker makes scratching sounds when i put up the bass and volume above 30

I don't think you totally fixed your original problem... make sure your RCA isn't pinched somewhere, making the wire inside touch metal. It sounds like you had a groundout somewhere.

Here's something you need to do:

-Turn your gain all the way down

-Put in a cd and turn it up 3/4 way on the HU, or until you hear distortion in your car speakers that are running off the HU

-slowly raise the gain until you near some distortion from your sub, then back it off a little

And please replace your CD player fluid. Otherwise you get reverse phase feedback on the modulator side of the signal transducer. Very bad for subs.
