cd changer

i just got my sd changer back from the company who was repairing it when i got it i hooked it up to the headunit in the front seat just to test it before i ran the wire again and it worked fine but then i unplugged it to run the wire and when i plugged it back in it won't work. when i turn the car on i here the cd player warming up so i no its getting power and a signal because when i hit cd on the headunit it takes a cd and starts spinning it but it seem like it doesn't give it a chance because as soon as it starts spinning the headunit just goes back to the radio. any idea whats wrong
