4" coil, and a standard 12 spoke basket? IMO the big question on this driver should be the spiders being used. Im guessing its a low excursion, ported box burp machine?

No. Production models won't feature the 12 spoke frame. And it will neither be low excursion nor a burp machine.

So really all we get to see here is a motor that's not even actually assembled. I guess this just leaves me wondering why such an inaccurate representation of the production model is being shown. Im not dissing the speaker or the company, just wondering what the point of not waiting until a more concrete version of the actual speaker is available before making it 'public'.

Alex and his "close nit" people tend to "tease" or whatever you want to call it. I was really interested in this sub when there was rumor of it. But I was taunted like a little kid at a candy store. So I gave up.

My guess is they are trying to build up some anticipation for when it does hit the production lines it will go fast. I don't know though. Maybe they really just don't have any parts.

nobody complains when other comapnies do it.... i can think of about 6 subs that featured HUGE threads about subs that never even hit the martket lol....

i just wanted to share with yall some of the magic that should be avalaible to the masses before to long and i will be using them in a couple of weeks.

testing testing testing... i will do some testing as some others will... by the time it hits the market should be a great sub without any major flaws.

You have to admit it seems odd that when asked about the motor, the reply is that its not really assembled in the pic, and when asked about the frame, its not the correct frame to be used. And the pic only shows this motor and frame. lol Why not stick a W7 cone on it for the pic too?
Okay, maybe Im complaining a little bit now. Just seems silly to entice us with so little accurate info on the thing.

This. This was my point in my first poast in this thread.

I always find it juvenile to post teaser pics (like it's actually teasing anyone). If you're going to present something to an intelligent community (ok, thats probably stretching a bit on ca.com //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif) you should have your ducks in a row before showing your hand....so to speak.

With company after company copying each others designs then selling them as their own, id figure that the best course of action would be to build up the real thing, test it, show figures and response curves....and present it at one time.

Audio, the frame on there will be used for 2 of the motors being built right now so I guess you could see it is an accurate representation for testing purposes. The third one will use a different frame to allow for a larger spider pack to be used. The motor is setup how it will be when finalized, just lacking a bit of glue.
