Here are some pics of the dash progress:
This is a shot of the back of the dashkit, with the monitor housing in place.
I took a Metra 99-3302 dash kit- which is a single din kit for the HHR and various other GM models, and chopped the kit up with my dremel until the screen bezel fit behind it.
Then, filled the gaps with some filler and did some sanding. Threw on some primer to see how well the paint would hold. Still have some filling, sanding, and painting to do.
