Carputer update- Dash progress

Here are some pics of the dash progress:

This is a shot of the back of the dashkit, with the monitor housing in place.

I took a Metra 99-3302 dash kit- which is a single din kit for the HHR and various other GM models, and chopped the kit up with my dremel until the screen bezel fit behind it.

Then, filled the gaps with some filler and did some sanding. Threw on some primer to see how well the paint would hold. Still have some filling, sanding, and painting to do. lol. everyone except all the noobs and kids that are just into the bling bling and indashs. they'll never kno carputers even exist. i'd never have dreamt about computers being put into cars!! the first time i saw a carputer, was at a ricer show and this kid had a stock honda with a carputer. i didn't really pay any attention to it really but m friend thought it was badass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I got a carputer in my car. Its a lot cheaper , and plus its convenient to have a HDD for my 32GB of music.(i got a 120gb HDD) GPS works well,vidoe,pics, music i think its a lot easier than having a $1500 that can only do a quarter of it...my opinion ,sorry if ur against it

Did a little more filling/sanding today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish filling and sanding and get the painting done as well. The top/bottom are coming along very nicely, the sides need some filling though.
