hi. i finished my box and spray glued the carpet. however there are some places where the carpet didnt stick and it moves when the bass hits. not a huge problem but should i slice the carpet in some areas to apply more glue? id prefer not to, but dont know how else i can do it?

thx

I had the same problem where i folded the carpet. i just used some tiny finishing nails that you cant see to hold it down, if you get ones small enough they wont even penetrate the box

anyone here used helmiprene before?

thats the only stuff i will ever swear by and doesn't come any where near to what the 77 could do, very awsome stuff, its basically like a contact cement and is primarily shot through a gun, it has an incredably high tack, and basically permently bonds the 2 together when used correctly and set up

I absolutely hate contact cement. I use 77 or 90, and the key to a lasting bond is to spray BOTH the carpet AND the box, and then let the glue tack up a bit first (usually about 20 seconds) before putting it on. You might not realize it, but I can guarantee you that this is THE way to do it (when using 3M that is).
