ya yaaa, i kinda see, but id just ride it alll summer and ride when weather is good, the explore is flawless in snow and has no problems, i kinda just dont want to spend all my dang money on gas...
but insurance would kinda ****.... its a mixup of things like what u need and what u want

a four banger wat the hell is that lol like a pos car to just schmobb the shit out of? lol

and would u guy think a smaller cc bike would be any good?, like not a duel but like a yamaha 426f for around 1500?

i keep wanting a bike to ride, haha

We are not going to sway your ways of wanting a bike. You seem pretty dead set on it, so why make a thread asking what to do?

If it is for an invesment, then hell no don't do it.

If you have your Exploder paid off, and don't mind getting *** ***** on insurance, then I guess.

I still say save it for...............school! Man, I am getting old.

u got me with the insurance shit, i pay enuff for the dang explorer, and its jacked up cuz im a male and new driver, 4wd... all this and that bs

school is covered .. i hope lol..

but idk i just want somthing to ride around... i cant exactly go offroad the explorer much with gas being like 420... jus want funin tha sun haha

four bangers are four cylinder cars. I've never been into bikes. I feel so much safer in a fast car rather than a fast bike that I can get hit by a car on or not handle the power.

If you want a bike go ahead. I was going to sell my el camino and integra to get a WRX but insurance rapes you so I'm waiting for a while. If you have enough money and really want a bike just try it out if you really want to

All you can do is call to see how much it would be to add a bike. Then you would know what ballpark you are in.

I honestly don't know how a 17 year old kid could afford gas in a Exploder.

worked everyday since 16 more or less lol.. have money saved up, and i try to limit driving as much as possible... but with school mon-thurs for the next 5 weeks driving 12 miles , thats a gallon a day lol..

but for bikes to buy somthin relative cheap for around 1500... doesnt seem much to me, but i know its quiet a lot of money hah ahhg

but again its still up to parents somewhat..., i could probably go use a friends trailer hook it up and go pick it up but idk wha they would do so,, yaaaa

just sucks atm idk.... if im livin here i gota follow rules.. if i move out im broke in 5 days...

I too own an Explorer.... 15 mpg

A friend bought an early 90s 600cc bike...paid 1000 for the bike...it gets (so he claims) 74mpg and costs him, so he claims, $75 for liability for the year...he is 26 yrs ols

lol screw the insurance i guess, i mean i can always just get anywhere from a 250 to 450 for around 1-2000$ like local ebay haha

and if i want later make it street legal.. ya know..

i was actually looking at 250's now hahaha, something small and fun to enjoy and have a good time on.. and its plenty fast, can go over 50-60 no problem..

arrggg its just parent problems... but id be so down to buy a bike and ride it around...

i can get a car and subs and even an ak74 but no not a bike lol

i would say don't live outside your means. You can't really afford to have an explorer and a bike. I would sell the explorer and buy a 4-cyl car. You won't be able to take it off-road, but if you pick a good one, you will be surprised how much more fun small cars are to drive on the street. You will save loads on gas and insurance buy buying a 4-cyl car. I would consider a Mazda Miata if you can stand having little cargo room. VERY fun car. Alternative is toyota mr2. If you NEED more room, look at focus, protege. But seriously, go test drive a used miata and tell me what you think. Cheap purchase price, cheap insurance, cheap on gas, lots of thrills.

well i live at lake tahoe.. which is a big lake in the mountains.. im not too sure how a 4 cyl 10 pound car will do in the snow.... exactly why i have a heavy *** explorer with 4 wheels with power to them. and life is snowboarding in winter.. and ive been riding friends bikes alll spring -fall for last 2 years.. soo idk

and there is an ak74, lol
