[I Like Waffle]

Ordered an Audiopipe AP1800-1D amp from them almost 2 weeks ago, for 180 shipped i believe it was. Was hoping to get the amp this week to install my new equipment since weve had good weather.

Think im overracting? Im used to dealing with stores that actually ship your shit the next day, or hell even the same week.

Heres How it started, keep in mind i ordered the amp monday afternoon, the 22nd. Most good dealers ship same day if ordered before 5pm their time.

My 1st email :

Im trying to figure out where my amp is, im not sure when to expect it and id like to be home when it gets here. I tried using the tracking thing on your site but it gives me an invalid # error. Can you help me get the tracking information or tell me when it was shipped?

This order has been processed and it will be shipped and delivered within the time frame specified in your confirmation e-mail.

My 2nd email :

Still trying to find out some information on where my order is. Going on 9 business days and i havent even recieved a confirmation saying its been shipped? The tracking on your website doesnt work either. Id like to know atleast that it has been shipped, ive heard plenty of bad stories about your site charging people for things, then waiting weeks to tell them its on backorder. Youre not making a very good impression for future purchases btw, im used to dealing with reputable online dealers though.

Oh, i see why i thought it didnt work, it took you almost 2 weeks to ship it. Good deal. Looks like i wont recieive it in your7-14 day delivery period, or is the 7-14 days how long it actually takes you to get off your lazy ***** and mail it?

The 3 or so times over the course of the past year that I've bought from them, its always taken a minimum of 3 days to ship my item out. Never have had something ship out the next business day. They always take their sweet time. From a product stand point, everything was always well packed and worked perfect, nothing wrong on that end. But yes, customer service and ship times have always been terrible in my experience and I've heard many stories of the whole charging your card only to tell you the item is out of stock and on back order till further notice weeks later.

I stopped buying there. I enjoy Sonic Electronix much more

Sonix has fast shipping and good communication. Plus CS over the phone is alot faster. So i like em. Decent prices too.

Man some of these companies just have horrible business practices. It's only semi-related, but I ordered a mod chip from a website that advertised "Get it Fast, 1-3 day shipping!" and they literally took over a week before they shipped it...When I'm ordering parts at work the places we order from usually get the parts out THAT DAY. And normally we get the stuff the very next day...if someone opened a car audio shop and did that, they would make a killing...

I've ordered a few grand worth of equipment for myself and others in the past through CDS without any issues at all... My buddy ordered the same amp from them over 2 weeks ago and still doesn't have it yet. They haven't provided any info at all and refuse to answer emails, plus they don't have a phone number you can reach them at, only a fax.

Sonic is great. Never had a order that didn't ship same or next day. Never been on hold when contacting customer service either. Amazing return policy.

Millionbuy.com is just as good as Sonic also. Usually cheaper too. Pretty good Car audio section on website.
