Carbon Fiber/Fiberglass enclosure

Well my brother graduated and came home last week and it just so happened I got my SLC in the mail about the same time. He told me that he learned how to mold fiberglass and carbon fiber at his school. He went to The Landing School which is a boat deisign and building school. He wants to try and make an enclosure that would fit in my door similar to a kick panel but not on the floor. Would this work or have any benefits to having the speakers just mounted in the doors with no box?

mounting a speaker in a box always has benefits, why else does everyone do it. it will make your music sound richer and fuller and cleaner.

just make sure you make it the appropiate sealed size for the driver.
