is this possible? how thick would the cf have to be and what kind of price range would be okay for a 5 cube box?

i just thought about this after i saw top gear and all the cf that they put on these cars

Yes. I know someone on fiberglassforums did it with a pair of JL 8's. I think he said his box was 1/2 inch thick? I looked for a good 20 minutes and couldn't find the exact thread though... It would be freaking expensive though. You'd probably be better off making a fiberglass box and skinning it with CF

i have no intention of doing this, i am just curious. ive heard of concrete enclosures, fiberglass, plexiglass, but never carbon fiber.

has anyone seen an enclosure of the sort?

I assume you are just going for the look? That would be one expensive box!!! I'd say fiberglass with carbon fiber overlay.

Kenny Colemans truck was done entirely of CF. Doors, wall, trim, etc.....

A CF wrap is typically how its done. The pretty weave CF is not very strong. Structural CF is not very pretty and doesn't provide much of a benefit over fiberglass for an enclosure. Building a basic enclosure and then vacuum bagging it with a finish weave CF wrap makes much more sense.
