Car Accident:NE 1 good with Insurance Claims

Wife got into an accident this morning, officer called it her fault.

the other lady in the accident just got into an accident last week that messed up her front end. She said that she is going to put that in the insruance claim against us, we told her and the cop we will be fighting it. The lame ass cop sad i am just documenting any damage i see to the car

anyone good with isnurance claims and how to fight them. We took pcitures showing the side of the car where paint rubbed off and the front of her car.

Basically the accident was the sides of the cars bumping each other.

i live about 10 miles south of the race track, i love it....

Anyways should i fight them claiming all that against our insurance or just let it fly. My wifes car just has a ton of scratches. not even a dent.

Since they were both in the same lane...

Person in front should have checked blind spots before changing lanes

person behind should watch for person in front.

Honestly it sounds like you wife was trying to be nice and move over for someone on her ass...unfortunatly its her fault for not checking behind her carefully enough.

This is my opinion...I am no Insurance person.

The cop does not make the final determination of who was at fault. This is really up to your insurance company to decide what to pay. Start a thread on your insurer's forum.

yea i was just in a wreck, the cop really dosent have anything to do with who is actually at fault or any outcome. As he said hes just there to formally document time, place, damage, persons involved. The insurance companies take care of who is at fault and i would assume since ur insurance company doesnt wanna pay for her car too that they will try to fight it and say it wasnt your fault.
