ok, for shits and giigles i installed my 1.2 farad cap. now, it says im getting 12.1volts, is that normal? but, my gauge on my dash says 14.

yea, the trucks on. i can adjust the voltage on it. what will that do?

Adjusting the voltage on it calibrates the voltage display. You should get a DMM and set the cap readout to match the DMM readout. Until you do, the readout on the cap means nothing.
