Capcitor

I recently had my rockford fosgate system checked out. My system kept on cutting out every so often. A few days later, my car lights began to slightly flicker. My car battery is about three years old and i am thinking the battery might not be supplying enough power to my system. My amplifier puts out 500 watts max power and i my subs are two P2 10's. I went and bought a rockford fosgate 1 farad capacitor because i think my car battery is straining too much to power my system. Could the capacitor be the solution to my problem? I thought i would save some money and install it myself but i don't know anything about car audio installation. Are capacitors easy to install?

If the battery is a couple years old anyway it might be a good time to get a new one anyway. Good time to pick up an Optima. Of course as previously mentioned, have your alt checked out, you don't want to start draining a new battery.

Cap's aren't band-aids ... people try using them as such. They have their special place just like any equipment.
