Capasiters?

thanks for your help. I will pass on the capasiter. as for the tweeters. is it fine to put them inline with the speakers. I just could not figure out how the amp would seperate the two. does the pass. crossover help here? again thanks.

^You will definitely want a crossover for the tweeters..

I have replaced the batt with a cold start 600, and I have had to replace the alt. for the last 2 years. I ran a test on the charging system and found that when I pulled all the fuses and checked each circuit as i re installed the fuses that when I installed the fuse to the batt. and then put the stereo (batt.) wire in I got a short. I re checked my wires and they all seem good. I have added a electric fan but again thats not a lot. it just seems when I unhook the stereo alls seems good, good charging, lights bright etc. but once I kick in the stereo my alt. gauge starts to go eratic.

How exactly is this amp hooked up?

Sounds like the issue is with either the headunit or the amp install. Unhook the power wire for your amp and with your headunit on see if the problem persists.

I have a main wire runnig from the batt. to the amp it has a 20 amp fuse in line. there is a wire running from the stereo to the amp and I have a ground wire to the car chassis within a couple feet of the amp wire gauges are what I was quoted from the instuctions from the amp.
