your only gonna get cons on here, should have spend whatever that costs on either i HO alt or a yellow top, one of these would have permentely fixed your electrical issue, all your doing with the cap is patching up the problem, if your lights are dimming or having voltage drops, adding in a cap isn't a battery to the point where its gonna fix your problem

However, shouldn't this have been a question you asked previous to purchasing the product ?

there are pro's, albeit small and somewhat insignificant, but i doubt they will help for what you intend to use it for

if its one of those ones with the volt display its pretty much just a really expensive digital volt display guage and your current electrical and voltage issues wont be fixed by this and will still remain
