Capacitor questions

Do i need to get a capcitor? I have 2 12" subs, and a 1200 watt amp. Will the capacitor help, or do i need it? Also, how do these hook up? Head unit RCA cable to capacitor then RCA cable from capacitor to amp? Sorry, im a noob and really dont know. Thanks!

they have slight benifits, but i could tell they were not in your best interest. a cap should be the very last thing you add to a system.
