Just to give you the background on this.... this is for a Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R, lots of mods, stock 80amp alt, Optima yellow top remote mounted in the trunk, everything is well connected and grounded. No stereo in the car.
I want to smooth out the running voltage and am thinking about mounting a capacitor with the battery. The stock 80amp alternator obviously ***** but the alt upgrades are $500+ so that will have to come later. Voltage takes a big hit when turning on the lights, A/C, etc. Smoother cleaner voltage is a plus for injectors, ign coils, and ecu.
Would a cap help me out? If so, what would be a good high quality cap for this purpose? A digital voltage display is a plus.
