Capacitor Help

can someone explain me what farads are and how can i know how many farads should i get the capacitor?
Capacitors hold in small carges in between big bass hits. The higher the voltage at a given farad rating, the more power it should put out. 1 Farad @ 36 volts should put out 36 amps in one second.

I would suggest getting a higher amperage alternator first, and if you continue to have problems, then get a Cap. The problem with caps is that in order to have them run efficiently, you'd need an electrical system to handle all your power in the first place, (which is the reason most people buy caps - their system can't handle all the power). Your battery is a capacitor that charges in half the time as a cap, but has like 8,000 farads anyway.

my rpms are goin down and up everytime that it hits bass . i went to a mechanic and he told me that the alternator is fine , that i have to go to a audio store to see what they sell for that , he was tryin to say the cap.
