capacitor - gennnnnerrriiic! or not?

i can find 1 farad caps on ebay (generic brands) ranging from 50 bucks up to name brand at about 150 bucks.

Is there a difference between a generic and name brand cap? I know there is a difference in subwoofers and amps, but is there a difference in a capacitor too? I mean, it's just a capacitor, it either works or it doesn't!

any opinions will be greatly appreciated!

you need a low ESR/ESL type. As this directly affects the impedance of the CAP and its usefulness.
