can't hear this instrument..

anyone listen to the song Paul Wall - Sittin' Sideways on their system? well, when i listen to it in my car i cant really hear the "grimy" (i guess i would describe) bass through my components. it seems like everything else is drowning it out. ive been trying to tweak my EQ to get the right sound and thought i had a nice setting but i really wanna hear that bass like i can through my sony receiver hooked up to DIGITAL AUDIO at home. . which is hooked up to my computer. so does anyone know what frequencies i can boost to bring that bass out?? the components are infinity perfect 6.1 and the EQ is an audiocontrol EQX which has 13 bands.

so your bass sounds muddy? -- and you have infinity speakers.... 120hz highpass + ~ play arround with the freq between 120-200? 250?hz + good door deadening and front/rear wave seperation... see if that kills some of the mud.... ethr the install or high THD from the speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif or both

what is front/rear wave seperation? and i dont think its too muddy..but for some reason that bass isnt loud as id like it to be
