I was installing a pioneer deh-5800 into a 2002 buick lesabre today and I couldn't freakin figure it out! Before I go onto my main question I have a couple others...
1. Does anyone know if these cars have a hidden amplifier/come with premium sound? I could't find it anywhere in the manual.
2. How long can the battery be disconnected while working on the car before the "computer" resets?
I thought I had it hooked up perfectly, i've done a few head unit installs before. I connected the negative battery post back and turned on accessories...NOTHING. I tried the factory ground wire and tried grounding it to a bolt connected to the chassis. Did I blow a fuse somehow? Did I reset the cars computer? The yellow battery wires were hooked up right, illumination right...I've only installed alpines are these pioneers different or what...i'm at a loss right now I can't think of what i'm doing wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
